Don't know if this could really work -- but you could make little squares of something -- say paper-thin -- and if you lot paint it with the pigment from Home Depot that y'all can employ on walls to make a wall a chalk board -- each child could make their own 'mitt-writing on the wall' piece with chalk.

But a thought -- Good Luck!

For an inexpensive craft, draw a stoned wall and brand photocopies. On each one draw letters, or a handprint, Bible poetry, etc. with wax(ie: white crayon or those wax pencils that come up with Easter egg kits.) Give each child a "bare" paper with invisible message or picture. Have them pigment over it to notice the hidden picture or you can have them sprinkle powdered paint, hot chocolate mix, etc. that will reveal the pictures/bulletin. Information technology's not an bonny art project, but kids love the mystery.

Hi A.!
My thought came from something my parents did for us kids when nosotros were bored and "snowed in" in Wisconsin.
Put up a huge large long white paper. Big enough to cover an entire wall. Take your children color or paint or whatever using the story of Daniel on "the wall". You'll have similar a graffitti blazon await! Wallpaper created by children!

Take you done a search on the Cyberspace? In that location'south a website-world wide web.rotation.org that has all kinds of ideas. I found it past Googling "workshop rotation."

Simply thinking off the top of my head hither. Why don't yous ask people in the church to donate whatsoever old gloves they have that they don't have matches for or that they wouldn't listen donating. You could stuff the gloves maybe? Have the index finger sticking out, put it on the end of the dowell, record some newsprint on the wall, dip the finger in tempera pigment and see how well each child with their hand can write their name or draw a smiley face. I call back they'd become a big kick out of trying that and watching others endeavour every bit well. A smiley face may be better because it would be quicker than each person trying to write his or her name. To send it home, they could mount the glove on a smaller dowel fitting only inside the glove and affixed to some sturdy cardboard so that the glove is pointing up, with the message, "Always expect upwards to God." Again, use Google and put in something similar "mitt steeple." I know of two churches that accept a mitt pointing upward on their steeples. I think that is kind of absurd.

Expert luck!

You lot could decorate small chalk boards (5 x 7)or dry erase boards for them to take home and hang in their rooms. You tin buy them at any hobby store and then allow them gum cream shapes, stickers, buttons etc..., or if they're old enough, pigment the edges with pigment pens.

hither's what i did for fathers twenty-four hours - Michaels had a auction on real painters canvas but you could employ whatsoever surface - I let the kids color the whole groundwork with paint - let it dry and so put their handprints in white paint on the art - it looked crawly - you could then characterization each with pen how each kid was most like God, their gifts, etc.
Like fingerpainting but permanent art -

That is a website that I used to use when I was over our children's ministry for crafts and many other ideas. I copied the link to the folio that corresponds to Daniel five. There are a lot of great ideas! Savor, and thanking for serving our children! God Bless!
